The events of our time are, when tied together, both exciting and dreadful. With God's intentions positioned in the Mid-East, Israel continues to be at the forefront of the world's attention and has become indeed a "burdensome stone" (Zach 13:3). As such, we as a country are exceedingly thankful and indeed privileged to be the 800 pound gorilla that secures her position.
Is the status of our country and Israel's existence a pre-cursor to the final days of our earth and opening of the door to the Lord's return? Surely no time in history has been so ripe!
These things we know:
Israel must possess the land (done).
There will be great trouble over this fact (ongoing).
In spite of this seemingly insurmountable problem, a "solution" will be found (coming!).
Consider:
There is a Biblical president for the Jews and their long lost Mid-East brethren to "get along".
See: Gen. 25:9 and following, as Ishmael and his brother Isaac joined together at their father Abraham's funeral, and further are both successful in succeeding years.
See also: Gen 25:21 thru to Chapter 33 as, in following the two "lines", we see the story of Jacob and Esau . Through this account the two brothers, in such animosity that one (Esau) wanted to kill the other, they finally "patch things up" in the 33rd Chapter and live successfully for the succeeding years.
These two accounts of the people of the Mid-East are well documented and believed by Jew and those of Islam...This is a do-able situation!
Consider also:
The problem of the rebuilding of The Temple...at the very spot of The Dome of The Rock and the Mosque of Omar! We learn from history that the original temple had a far smaller "footprint" (size wise) than the Temple of Herod (The largest such thing in the known world at the time). With this known, is it not possible for both the mosque and the Temple to exist on the same general "real estate" area if the Jews would agree to a Temple of the original size?
Certainly there will have to be compromise and flexibility with all parties for the final agreement to be formulated. The political pressure from the oil rich "sellers" of the mid-east and the oil dependent "consumers" of our world economy will most probably to be the "catalyst" and impetus for this pressure. With this pressure could come these possible "solutions".
Of course, this will be a short-lived fix as the wheels will be in high gear at that time for the Lord's promised return...which no force on Earth will ever stop! Surely Amos' exhortation to Jews of that time is apt for us all today..."PREPARE to meet thy God!
